Chinese developer BOKURA (Shanghai Bokura Technology) officially announces its new MMORPG Star Resonance. The new game will be launching for PC and mobile devices. A trailer has been released by the developer, which showcases the game’s character creator, world, battles and social gameplay elements.
If you find Star Resonance’s visuals and setting familiar, it is because the game is based on Bandai Namco’s anime MMORPG Blue Protocol. Launched last June 2023 by soon-to-be closed down Bandai Namco Online, Blue Protocol is scheduled to be discontinued due to its poor performance. The game will be terminated as soon as January next year in Japan with its global release already cancelled.
With the development of Star Resonance on the right track, preparations for the game’s closed beta test for Chinese players are now ongoing. Applications for the CBT are now open until December 19. It will be released on both PC and mobile devices with crossplay available.
While the game is set in Regnas, the world of Blue Protocol, the developers have redesigned and reworked the gameplay and story to fit Star Resonance. Currently, it is still unknown when the game will be released and if there will be a global launch. For now, stay tuned for future announcements!
